Our Story
In April 2010, in Madera, California, a realization dawned upon me (Leonor Hipolito) as I observed our community. Our children not only yearned for positive activities but also lacked a deep connection to their own cultural heritage. I felt a deep concern as I witnessed some young individuals struggle with self-identity, even feeling ashamed of their roots and native language, Spanish. It led me to question the future that awaited our community.
Driven by a growing awareness of these challenges, a spark ignited within me. I knew action was necessary. This led to the creation of a preventive program, offering bilingual leadership workshops to children. United by a shared belief in this idea, Yesenia Hipolito, Jacinta Beatriz Berrocal, María Vargas, Norma Chávez, and I came together to establish PEQUEÑOS EMPRESARIOS, INC. on July 24th, 2014.
Today, our mission is to unlock a bright future for every child. We strive not only to shape a better future for them but also to empower them with strength and resilience to overcome obstacles. Through fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, boosting self-esteem, and instilling unwavering confidence, we empower our children to chase their dreams. They are the change-makers who will transform their schools, families, communities, and the world at large. Together, guided by our motto, “Children in action for a better world,” let us continue nurturing their boundless potential, equipping them with the tools and unwavering support needed to thrive. We now offer transformative workshops for youth, adults, and families alike. We have created a subsidiary to encompass this broader purpose, providing a safe space for personal growth and connection. remains committed to fostering positive change, nurturing, confident and compassionate individuals across generations.
